Neighborhood Recycling Efforts
Area recycling bins are located in the following places and are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:
- Lafayette School on Ann at 7th Street map
- Firehouse #1 on Jefferson at Pestalozzi map
- Firehouse #7 on Jefferson at LaSalle map
- South Refuse Collection Station map
Be patient. It may take a few seconds for the maps to load.
Bins have labels on the front of each stating what should be put in that particular bin. For a complete list of what's accepted, please download this PDF. While the PDF was prepared for curbside recycling, it also accurately covers what's acceptable at the various bin stations.

Third District Community Outreach Meeting
Held the 2nd Thursday of the month
Doors open at 7:00 p.m., program begins at
7:30 pm

March meeting agenda: The guest presenter will be Connie Backfisch who speak about "Filling Out and Returning Census Questionnaire." Car clubs ($11) and license plate covers ($5/pair) will be sold prior to the March meeting. Cash only.
This monthly meeting is an opportunity to connect with 3rd District SLMPD officers, your alderperson and NSO. It's also a great way to meet and stay in touch with neighbors who have similar neighborhood concerns. Crime statistics and current public safety issues are always discussed.

Bulk Trash Pick-up Week
The second-Monday-of-the-month bulk trash pick up dates in the neighborhood are listed below the end of the year. Dates are as follows:
March 8 • April 12 • May 10 • June 14
July 12 • August 9 • September 13
October 11 • November 8 • December

Place all bulk trash items (limit 3) out by 6:00 am on the above listed date for pick up. Place items at least 48" away from the dumpsters. For more info on what items are accepted and how to prepare your items for pickup, please visit this website.

North of Russell: the 1st Monday and Tuesday of the month.
Russell and South: the 2nd Monday and Tuesday of the month.
