Officer Miller: Recent SLMPD initiatives worked in lowering person crimes. Slight increase recently in property crimes (stealing/larceny). Since September 22, there have been 22 arrests in the 3rd District. On Sep. 25, basements in residences along 12th were broken into. Possible that is connected to resident there. More information on shooting off Menard from previous month: Feud was among teenagers. Owner is working on evictions. No incidents since. There has been an increase in vehicle break-ins and auto thefts. Stay aware of your surroundings and call 911 on anything suspicious.
