PARLOUR TOUR
Annual Event
The Soulard Parlour Tour is a long-running holiday home tour in St. Louis that invites visitors inside some of the most historic residences in the city’s oldest neighborhood. For nearly 50 years, this tradition has showcased beautifully restored 19th-century homes, highlighting the neighborhood’s Victorian and French Second Empire architecture, German heritage, and preservation efforts. Each December, guests stroll the brick-lined streets of Soulard and step through the doors of private homes that normally aren’t open to the public, making it one of the most unique holiday events in St. Louis.
Homes are decorated for the season, docents share the history behind each property, and visitors get a firsthand look at Soulard’s role in shaping St. Louis’ early growth. Many tours also feature live music, local art, historic reenactments, and seasonal refreshments, giving guests a true sense of Soulard’s community spirit. For architecture lovers, preservation supporters, and holiday tourists, the Soulard Parlour Tour remains one of the signature “things to do in St. Louis at Christmas” and a rare opportunity to step inside the storied homes that define this iconic neighborhood.
